"Beyond the Wall" Whether we have had a wall(s) imposed on us or we have constructed walls that we think keep us safe; walls place limits on where we can go spiritually and physically. There are different kinds of walls. There are walls of unforgiveness, walls of fear, walls of self-doubt, walls of failure, and walls of hatred, to name a few. These are often constructed out of pain, sorrow, abuse, personal failures, and other negative life experiences. In order to keep moving forward, we must believe that there is something to strive for beyond the wall. If one's wall is or appears to be lifelong or lengthy, there is still something beyond those walls - something greater than the walls that separate, and more powerful and eternal, that is the Lord Jesus Christ "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us." (Ephesians 2:14) In doing so, He has given all the opportunity to become part of a body of believers, who can offer hope to one another of a better life and eternity. Also, He removed the yoke of sin that held us back from Him, making us all one in Christ. No matter where we are, if we will seek God according to His Word, "being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:7) We can rest assured; that there is life beyond the wall. God can remove whatever wall(s) that applicably exists as a barrier from us moving forward towards both positive temporal and eternal things in our lives. PRAY: • that all walls of unforgiveness are torn down. • that any walls of fear are removed. • that existing walls of self-doubt disappear. • that walls of failure are eradicated. • that any walls of hatred be destroyed. • that every wall of ungodly hindrance is eliminated. • that we reach beyond the walls to all that Jesus desires to give. God has called you to do something for His kingdom, speak life into it. Don’t let the devil tell you lies. Be encouraged in God’s word and bring joy to your ministry. “Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Renewal of Faith “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:7-8) “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) Our ability to receive the promises of God are directly connected to our faith in Him. The confidence we have put in our bank accounts, retirement, medical plans, and insurance have undermined the faith we have had to put in God. Not that these things are wrong in and of itself, but our security cannot be tied to what we have on this earth. We are facing perilous and uncertain times, it is vital that our faith be a testimony to the world in this desperate hour. PRAY: • For a hunger for God’s Word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) • For a purification through heartfelt repentance. “...purifying their hearts by faith.” (Acts 15:9) • For separation from this world and sanctification for God’s purpose. “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” (Act 26:18) • For righteousness to be revealed to the world. “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17) • For faith to produce the fruits of the spirit in our lives. “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2) • For the church to stand in the power of God. “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” (I Corinthians 2:5) • That our faith would not fail. “But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:” (Luke 22:32) Annette Parmley Former District Prayer Coordinator Arkansas District

The Power to Choose The children of Israel had to walk by faith and not by sight. They did not have a Bible to refer to for direction. They had to choose to follow the man God chose. God did not take them on a course that would take them straight to the Promised Land, but tested their faithfulness in the wilderness. A study of scripture shows us that God told them, through the man Moses, the things that would come to pass when they would desire a king. This includes how they would "wax fat" in the land God was giving them, and how they would turn to serve other gods; which would lead to their captivity and destruction. One would think, upon hearing these things, they would have chosen to take whatever measures necessary to prevent these things from happening. However, when left to their own devices, they chose the path that would lead them into captivity, instead of choosing God's way of freedom and blessing. The problem was they never developed their own faith-based relationship with God. They depended on "the arm of flesh," choosing to limit God. In spite of their poor choices, God gave them another way of escape. When He told them to go into Babylon, saying through the prophet, all would go well with them. Fear and unbelief caused many to choose Egypt, instead of listening to the voice of God. We would do well to take a look at our choices, and what the outcome of our choices will be. We might not be able to control every situation, what others do, or have done, but we have a choice to do what is right or wrong. We have historical examples, such as Booker T. Washington, who overcame poverty, discrimination, and the time he lived in; to become more than his circumstances wanted him to be. The prophet Daniel chose to make the best of his time in exile. His obedience brought him before the king. His choice to pray, in spite of his captivity, enabled him to overcome the fiery furnace, and the lion's den. Overcoming these trials, demonstrated God's power to those who did not know Him. We must choose what our testimony will be. We alone can decide what will be said of us. We must ask ourselves, if God were to tell us what we would do in days, months, or years to come; what would He say? Would we be found faithful? Or would we be found to have walked after the imagination of our own hearts; doing what is right in our own eyes? Regardless of past negative circumstances, there is hope and an expected end for every soul God has created. There is deliverance available for all who are willing to leave the ways of Egypt behind, choosing the way of life through righteousness.
